Facebook to stop in-stream ad monetization: Facebook’s big decision

As of October 4, 2024, we will no longer be accepting applications for in-stream ads on Facebook because we are building a simplified creator monetization experience: Facebook Content Monetization.

This experience merges our In-stream ads, Ads on Reels, and Performance Bonus programs into 1, making it easier for creators to earn from multiple content formats.

We understand that this change may be disappointing for some creators, but we believe it is a necessary step towards creating a more streamlined and effective monetization experience.

We’re sending invitations to join the Facebook Content Monetization beta, and will continue to do so in the following months. While the beta will remain invite-only until 2025, you can express interest in this form on Facebook for.
